Today there is no doubt that its future depends largely on how we can bring together cultures and religions in European Union and we can live with our neighbours.

One of the major objectives of the Euro-Mediterranean Foundation is essentially to be a point of confrontation and dialogue, through a network of relationships and an organic connection with personalities, groups and associations in several Mediterranean countries. The Mediterranean Sea is a place which has faced the greatest civilizations of all time and it is also the cradle of three great religions of the dele strain of Abraham. Today we can say that the rich cultural tradition strongly imbued with religious experience is going slightly in the background. Other cultures and other ideologies have become hegemonic.

Today it is possible to have a dialogue as a landmark challenge to modernity. On this field certainly find great willingness for dialogue by all peoples and all religions of the Mediterranean, not only Christians and Orthodox, but also Jews and Muslims. Dialogue with Jews and Muslims can not be abstract and should not assume that religious experience is lived in its truth and entirely in its size. We are not all equal, and for this reason and concerning the Mediterranean countries, our method is certainly the founding fathers of united Europe one: what unites us is stronger than what divides us.

This dialogue must be based on tolerance and truth. Tolerance means respecting the others beliefs, and thus preserving their peaceful coexistence
