Goals

The Centre MESEURO, which is non-profit, will be responsible for: promoting, in a joint way, the initiatives that the adhering foundations, associations and individuals, among others the foundation OSTRO and the foundation ZEFIRO, pre-arranged to achieve in the related areas.

In particular the satisfaction of the socioeconomic and cultural needs of the European population with particular reference to the southern area of the Mediterranean, as well as promoting and divulging studies and research for the protection and the valorisation of young professionals in the global domain.

The Centre MESEURO proposes, moreover, in contributing to the creation of an education of identity and Mediterranean culture within a broader European culture for the young people and, above all, to build an area of co-development in the Euromediterranean zone.

Furthermore, this will come forward as an objective to promote the development of technical culture, scientific and industrial research, technological innovation and the application of technical regulations and norms in the scientific and technological sectors regarding the environment, with particular reference to the energy sector and to inherent problems, distrusting knowledge and placing importance on the economic, environmental and social sectors.

Furthermore it aims to carry out these initiatives:

immigration and its implications in Europe; legal harmony and economic cooperation in the Mediterranean; the logistics of ports and the traffic of goods; the development of a free trade area; Union for the Mediterranean; Democratic participation.
